1. Information We Collect

We collect your name, email, phone and business details when you use our onboarding form or contact us directly. We also collect standard analytics data (pages visited, general location, device/browser type) via Google Analytics when you browse our website — see "Analytics & Cookies" below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to build and manage your website, process your payment, and communicate with you about your project. We keep a copy of emails we send you in an internal record-keeping archive, and we retain payment and billing records for as long as required for tax and legal purposes. We do not sell your data.

3. AI-Assisted Content Drafting

If you use our optional "AI Help" feature to draft website content, the business details and content you've entered so far are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggested text and image search terms. Nothing is published automatically — you review and approve any AI-drafted content before it's saved.

4. Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are viewed, how long for, and general traffic sources. This sets cookies in your browser and shares anonymised usage data with Google. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out using your browser's cookie settings or a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by PayFast, our third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details — PayFast handles and secures all card data directly. PayFast's own privacy policy governs payment data.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at support@websitehire.co.za, or reach our Information Officer at support@websitehire.co.za for any POPIA-related request.

7. Governing Law

Governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
